Pone

Pone
A writ by which a suit was transferred from a *county court to a higher court. *Bracton said of it: 'When a plea begun by writ of right has, at the petition of the demandant, been transferred to the great court by pone, the tenant must be summoned to be present there to answer the demandant with respect thereto.' [< Lat. pono = to place]
